민석 튜터님 소개
As an English major, I took many courses related to language learning and education. I also conducted experimental research in this field, which gave me many opportunities to think from the learner’s perspective.
When I reached the stage where I could read and understand academic texts in English, I still struggled to produce even simple sentences in conversation. Looking back, I believe this was because my learning focused heavily on receptive skills—reading and listening—while neglecting productive skills -speaking and writing.
Unless your goal is to become a researcher using the Korean language, speaking should be a priority. In fact, I believe speaking is even more important in Korean than in English. The only way to improve speaking is to keep speaking even a word.
For that reason, my lessons prioritize communication over perfection. In the beginning, I focus on helping you express your meaning and maintain the flow of conversation rather than interrupting you with corrective feedback.
Once you become comfortable communicating, we will work on making your Korean word more natural and fluent. After that, we will focus on expanding your vocabulary and increasing your lexical range, allowing you to develop a speaking style that reflects your own personality and goals.
My goal is not simply to teach Korean grammar. My goal is to help you build the confidence to use Korean in real life and gradually shape Korean into a language truly feels like your own.

I believe the most important thing is to start speaking first. Communicating your message should come before striving for perfection. Don’t be prefect.
Immediate correction(corrective feedback) can be helpful in some situations, but not always. Through my own experience learning English, I came to understand how challenging it can be to learn a foreign language. I believe many learners of Korean face the same difficulties.
That’s why I designed this class with a strong focus on practical speaking and real communication rather than simply memorizing grammar rules. Of course Grammar rules are essential but not necessary. Be confident, don’t be pefect! Let’s do it together!
