He is a very thoughtful teacher who makes fun lesson plans in mind. During the trail lesson, he asks about your interests in Korean language, culture, and media. He speaks slowly and clearly. Not only that, he is friendly and a good motivator; so you can speak with him comfortably. He also asks for your feedback at the end of each lesson.
Mr. Song always responds quickly, despite a 13-hour time difference. If you want to learn Hanja, he will ask if you have an interest in any specific characters. Mr. Song organizes Hanja by making a chart that with his own materials. The chart includes Chinese characters, the characters' Korean pronunciation, and the English translations. While making the chart, he provides Korean words that include the Hanja you are learning and uses the example words in sentences that he types under the chart. If you have something that you want to discuss, such as a K-drama scene, book, or article, you can email it to him, and he will make and send you a transcript before your next class. During the next class, he will go over the transcript with you and explain new grammar, words, and concepts. Mr.
Song also explains cultural aspects that you, as a foreigner, would not know.
