Hello! My name is Valerie, and I am a professional mangaka, illustrator, concept artist, and art mentor with over eight years of experience creating comics and visual storytelling. Throughout my career, I have worked on published manga, webtoons, commercial illustration projects, and game development, while also teaching students from different countries in English.
My passion is helping artists transform their ideas into engaging stories. I believe that creating manga is much more than learning to draw—it is about building memorable characters, compelling worlds, and emotional narratives that readers will remember. My teaching approach combines practical exercises, personalized feedback, and industry knowledge to help students develop both their artistic and storytelling skills.
I have experience working on published manga, collaborating with creative teams, and guiding aspiring artists through every stage of comic production, from the first concept to finished pages. Whether your goal is to improve your drawing, create your first manga, develop a webtoon, or prepare a professional portfolio, I will adapt every lesson to your individual needs and experience level.
My goal is not only to help you become a better artist, but also to give you the confidence and creative tools to tell your own stories in a unique and authentic way.

Whether you are a complete beginner or already working on your own project, I will help you develop the skills needed to create a professional manga or webtoon from start to finish. Lessons are fully personalized and adapted to your goals, whether you want to improve your drawing, build a portfolio, or publish your own comic.
We can cover character design, costume and visual development, worldbuilding, storytelling, creating engaging conflicts and believable character motivations, scriptwriting, manga storyboards (name), panel composition, visual pacing, perspective, anatomy, backgrounds, traditional and digital drawing techniques, inking, screentones, and preparing pages for publication. I also help students develop their own unique artistic style instead of simply copying existing artists.
Throughout the course, you will receive constructive feedback, practical exercises, and professional guidance based on real publishing and industry experience. My goal is not only to teach you how to draw manga, but also how to think like a mangaka and confidently bring your own stories to life.
