Hello! My name is Valerie, and I am a professional mangaka, illustrator, concept artist, and art mentor with more than eight years of experience in comics and visual storytelling.
I am the author of a published manga and have also created oneshot published in Shonen Jump Plus. Throughout my career, I have worked on commercial manga/comic projects, game development, and collaborative creative productions while teaching students internationally in English. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of both the artistic and practical aspects of creating professional comics.
I believe that great manga is built on much more than beautiful drawings. Strong characters, meaningful stories, effective visual storytelling, and a clear creative process are what make readers truly connect with a work. That is why my lessons combine practical drawing skills with storytelling, design thinking, and personalized creative feedback.
As a mentor, my goal is to help every student grow with confidence rather than simply imitate existing artists. Whether you are creating your very first character or preparing a portfolio for publication, I will support you with honest feedback, structured guidance, and practical techniques based on real industry experience. Every artist has a unique voice, and I would love to help you discover and develop yours.

Whether you are a complete beginner or already working on your own manga or webtoon, I will help you develop the skills needed to bring your ideas to life. Every lesson is personalized to your goals, experience level, and artistic interests.
Together, we can explore every stage of comic creation, including character design, costume and visual development, worldbuilding, storytelling, creating engaging conflicts, believable character motivations, scriptwriting, manga storyboards (name), panel composition, visual pacing, anatomy, perspective, backgrounds, traditional and digital drawing techniques, inking, screentones, and preparing pages for publication. If you already have a project, I can also provide detailed feedback and help you solve creative or technical challenges.
My goal is not simply to teach you how to draw in a manga style, but to help you think like a mangaka. You will learn how to communicate ideas visually, develop your own artistic voice, and build stories that readers genuinely care about. Whether you dream of publishing a manga, creating a webtoon, or simply improving your artistic skills, lessons will be tailored specifically to help you achieve your goals.
