Hello! My name is Channy, a friendly and enthusiastic language tutor from South Korea.
I majored in English in high school and hold a Level 1 Foreign Language Education Manager certificate. I have over 4 years of experience teaching English to elementary and middle school students through private tutoring, and I also worked as an English instructor at an academy.
I also have experience teaching international students, including several native English speakers, which helped me become comfortable communicating with people from different cultures.
I love languages, traveling, and meeting new people from around the world. Because of this, I truly enjoy helping students feel comfortable and confident when learning a new language.
My lessons focus on practical conversation, reading, and building confidence in speaking. I always try to create a friendly and supportive environment so students can enjoy the learning process and express themselves naturally.
Whether you are a beginner, preparing for exams, or simply want to improve your conversation skills, I will adapt the lessons to your level and goals.

My lessons are personalized for each student’s level, goals, and learning style.
Level-based learning
At the beginning of the lesson, I conduct a simple level assessment. Based on the results, I select suitable materials and create a customized learning plan for each student.
Goal-oriented lessons
Students have different reasons for learning a language, so I design lessons according to their goals. For example:
• Casual conversation and daily communication
• Interest in Korean culture
• TOPIK exam preparation
• Job interview preparation
• Academic purposes
My teaching style
I focus on creating a comfortable and encouraging learning environment where students can build confidence.
For children, I include reading activities and interactive learning.
For adults, I focus on practical conversation and real-life expressions.
Teaching experience
• 4 years of private English / Korean tutoring for elementary and middle school students
• 6 months working as an English academy instructor (for kids)
• 1.5 years working at a language exchange center
• Taught Korean to 6 native English-speaking students
These experiences helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to work with students from different backgrounds.
