Korean isn't just my mother tongue, it's something I've spent my whole life paying close attention to. I hold a certification in Korean, and it confirms what I already knew about myself: my command of the language goes well beyond everyday fluency. I care about how the language actually works, how it sounds, how meaning shifts with one small word.
I studied film, and I'm now studying Korean literature seriously. so language for me is a craft not just a subject. On top of that, I write every day, which means I'm still studying Korean myself and still noticing new things in it, even as a native speaker.
I've had many foreign friends who were just starting out with Korean, so I understand what the beginning stage really feels like and how to make it less intimidating. I show up prepared, I take your goals seriously, and I keep lessons warm and relaxed so you're never afraid to make mistakes. If you want a tutor who truly knows the language and genuinely cares that you learn it, that's me.

I don't teach every student the same way, because no two learners want the same thing. In our first class we'll talk about your level and what you actually want out of Korean, and I'll build the lessons around that. If you're a beginner, we'll work through a proper, well-structured textbook so you get a solid foundation. If you're already at an intermediate level or higher, we'll pick materials together based on what interests you, whether that's a film you love, a short story, or just the way people really talk.
What sets me apart is experience. I've been teaching for almost ten years now, students of every age from three-year-olds to adults, so I know how to read a learner and adjust. And honestly, our conversations don't have to stay on Korea. We can talk about any culture, any subject you're curious about, because that's how real communication skills grow.
This class is for anyone who wants to go beyond memorizing and actually use the language, at any level.
