Sohyun 튜터님 소개
Hi! I’m a native Korean speaker born and raised in South Korea. Friendly and outgoing is my middle name and I enjoy connecting with people from different backgrounds. I’ve also lived in the U.S., Europe, and Australia, which has helped me understand different cultures and communication styles even better.
I’m certified by National Korean Institute of the Korean Language to teach Korean language and am currently a Korean teacher to students online as well. I studied linguistics at university, and years of both learning and teaching languages gave me a good sense of what learners struggle with—and how to help students in ways that are clear, encouraging, and effective.
To me, language is all about connection. My lessons will help you speak naturally, express yourself with confidence, and really enjoy the learning journey. I’m here to guide you with patience, positivity, and the skills to help you grow.

My teaching approach is flexible and centered on your individual goals and weaknesses—whether you want to improve pronunciation, conversation skills, business Korean, everyday language, writing, or even the basics of Hangeul.
Lessons are in either Korean or English, depending on your comfort and language preference. I use a wide range of materials, including official textbooks and workbooks from the National Institute of the Korean Language, as well as various online resources personalized for your level and needs.
I believe the most exciting way to learn is by expanding from a single word, expression, or grammar point into related vocabulary and real-life usage. I also focus on teaching you the authentic, natural Korean that textbooks often leave out—like expressions rooted in Chinese characters and local phrases used in everyday conversations.
Everyone is welcome—beginners, advanced learners, casual enthusiasts, and professionals alike. Let’s make Korean fun, effective, and practical for you.
